Our Board

 

The Club is fortunate to be able to draw upon a distinguished pool of volunteers who are willing to serve on the Board. Do not hesitate to contact the Board members if you have questions or would like to receive additional information regarding membership, participation in the Club's activities, sponsorship or any other issues which concern the Harvard Club of Sweden. 

 

Madhuri Gogineni - President

Madhuri is a 1993 graduate of Harvard College who went on to study medicine at New York University and later do a residency in internal medicine at Stanford University. She currently lives in Stockholm and practices medicine at Karolinska University Hospital. She has been active in the club since moving to Sweden in 2011 and is now, with the support of Harvard College admissions, spearheading an active effort to recruit young Swedish students to study at Harvard College. She is also responsible for coordinating alumni interviews for college admissions.

Fredrik Bergman - Board Member

Fredrik is an LL.M. ’14 graduate from Harvard Law School. He is the Chief Legal Counsel at Centrum för rättvisa (the Centre for Justice) – Sweden’s leading public interest law firm. He is a former Associate Judge at Svea Court of Appeal in Stockholm.

Matilda Brolin - Board Member

Matilda is a graduate of Harvard Law School (LL.M. ´16). She is currently Desk Officer at the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, working primarily with international law in the context of diplomatic relations. She previously worked at Sidley Austin LLP with international trade and dispute resolution. Matilda´s favorite class at HLS was the Negotiation Workshop.

Angela Evans - Board Member

Angela is an LL.M. ’14 graduate from Harvard Law School. She is an Associate in the Corporate Sustainability and Risk Management Group at Mannheimer Swartling where she specializes in questions relating to business and human rights. She is Chair of the Global Network for Business and Human Rights Lawyers and a former independent legal advisor to the United Nations.

Jens Jacob Fredriksson - Board Member

Jens Jacob is a Medical Doctor and currently a Ph.D. candidate at the Medical Management Centre, Karolinska Institutet, where he primarily studies innovative management practices in health care. He spent his time at Harvard as a Visiting Exchange Student in Health Care Management during 2009.

Tobias Fridman - Board Member

Tobias studied the General Management Program (GMP 15) at HBS during 2013. He has for the past 15 years worked as a lawyer at Delphi & Co and as in-house counsel at Accenture/Verizon. After returning from Harvard he focused on product development within “legal services” at the multi-service listed company Moretime and is currently CEO at Stockholm Cooling.

Anders Moberg - Board Member

Anders holds an LL.M. from HLS (class of 2004). After having spent five years as a lawyer in NYC, Anders moved back to Sweden in 2011, and he is now an attorney with the law firm Lindahl in Stockholm.

Petter Östlund - Board Member

Petter holds an MBA from HBS and graduated in 1999 (Section E). Currently he is VP Products at mobile commerce company Payair. The best memories from HBS include the fantastic campus and unique case method. At HBS he truly learn fact based decision making and how to learn and leverage from others in study groups. In addition, he has great memories of parties and sharing a town house with two HBS buddies at Ellery Street Nr. 10 in Cambridge.

Dilan Ölcer - Board Member

Dilan Ölcer was a PhD visiting fellow in Economics and Government at Harvard GSAS between 2009-2010. She holds a PhD in Economics from Sciences Po Paris and is currently a senior economist at the Riksbank, working on financial stability


Anna Alriksson - Deputy Board Member

Anna is an LLM ‘14 graduate of Harvard Law School, currently practicing international arbitration at Mannheimer Swartling. One of her best memories from Harvard include running the Cape Cod Ragnar Relay with the Harvard Runners: the day after the finals, she and 11 friends piled into two vans and ran 200ish miles, from Hull to Provincetown, day and night, relay-style.

Gabriel Otterman - Deputy Board Member

Gabriel Otterman MD MPH, graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1991 and underwent paediatric residency and post-graduate training at Boston Children’s Hospital, where his fellowship focus was on child maltreatment. Dr. Otterman also earned a Master of Public Health in international health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 1997. Since 2011, he has served as the Consultant Paediatrician in the Child Protection Team at Uppsala University Children’s Hospital.

Erik Torstensson - Deputy Board Member

Erik graduated from Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Divinity School in 2016 with concurrent masters degrees in Public Policy and Theological Studies. He currently works as a public affairs advisor at the communications consultancy firm New Republic. 

Patrik Johansson - Deputy Board Member and International Liaison Officer

Patrik joined the Club as its first member after it was founded in May 2007, and he has since been a Club volunteer. He joined the Board in 2011. Patrik has been a board member of Harvard Alumni Association and is now a member of the Harvard Alumni Nominating Committee).


Gunilla Isaksson – Nominating Committee Member

Gunilla is an LL.M from Harvard Law School and one of the co-founders of the Club. She started out as its Vice President,served as President of the Club between October 2008 and April 2012 and continued serving as board member until May 2015.  Gunilla and is currently Deputy Director at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, working mainly with International Law and human rights.

Carl Svernlöv – Nominating Committee Member

Carl is an LLM ’90 graduate of Harvard Law School. He is a partner at Baker McKenzie and an adjunct professor of law at Uppsala University. Carl's favorite memories from HLS are from hanging out at the Border Café.


Mathias Pedersen – Auditor

Mathias is a PMD ’05 graduate of Harvard Business School.
