The Club is fortunate to be able to draw upon a distinguished pool of volunteers who are willing to serve on the Board. Dilan Ölcer - President
Dilan Ölcer was a PhD visiting fellow in Economics and Government at Harvard GSAS between 2009-2010. She holds a PhD in Economics from Sciences Po Paris and is currently Deputy Head of Payments Department at the Riksbank.
Madhuri Gogineni - Board Member
Madhuri is a 1993 graduate of Harvard College who went on to study medicine at New York University and later do a residency in internal medicine at Stanford University. She currently lives in Stockholm and practices medicine at Karolinska University Hospital. She has been active in the club since moving to Sweden in 2011 and is now, with the support of Harvard College admissions, spearheading an active effort to recruit young Swedish students to study at Harvard College. She is also responsible for coordinating alumni interviews for college admissions.
Martin Liby Troein - Board Member
Martin graduated from Harvard with an A.B in Social Studies in 2009. Following a year as an English teacher in China and two years of postgraduate studies at LSE in London, he returned to Boston in 2012, where he completed a PhD in political science at MIT. Since 2018 he lives in Stockholm where he works as an editorial writer at Dagens Nyheter.
Anders Moberg - Board Member
Anders holds an LL.M. from HLS (class of 2004). After having spent five years as a lawyer in NYC, Anders moved back to Sweden in 2011, and he is now an attorney with the law firm Lindahl in Stockholm.
Gabriel Otterman - Board Member
Gabriel Otterman MD MPH, graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1991 and underwent paediatric residency and post-graduate training at Boston Children’s Hospital, where his fellowship focus was on child maltreatment. Dr. Otterman also earned a Master of Public Health in international health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in 1997. Since 2011, he has served as the Consultant Paediatrician in the Child Protection Team at Uppsala University Children’s Hospital.
Elisabeth Walentin - Board Member
Elizabeth received her MPP degree from Harvard Kennedy School in 2005 and has been a member of the Club since 2008. In addition to running the communications agency Crimson Clarke, she is vice chair of the American Chamber of Commerce in Sweden and the head of the Forum for Global Business at the Karl-Adam Bonnier Foundation.
Petter Östlund - Board Member
Petter holds an MBA from HBS and graduated in 1999 (Section E). Currently he is VP Products at mobile commerce company Payair. The best memories from HBS include the fantastic campus and unique case method. At HBS he truly learned fact based decision making and how to learn and leverage from others in study groups. In addition, he has great memories of parties and sharing a town house with two HBS buddies at Ellery Street Nr. 10 in Cambridge.
Gunilla Isaksson – Nominating Committee Member
Gunilla is an LL.M from Harvard Law School and one of the co-founders of the Club. She started out as its Vice President,served as President of the Club between October 2008 and April 2012 and continued serving as board member until May 2015. Gunilla and is currently Deputy Director at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, working mainly with International Law and human rights.
Carl Svernlöv – Nominating Committee Member
Carl is an LLM ’90 graduate of Harvard Law School. He is a partner at Baker McKenzie and an adjunct professor of law at Uppsala University. Carl's favorite memories from HLS are from hanging out at the Border Café.
Mathias Pedersen – Auditor
Mathias is a PMD ’05 graduate of Harvard Business School.
